Are You Waiting for The New iPhone 8 Series?

That’s the New iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus

Well, the date will shortly be here but here’s a taste of what to expect.

At its annual September iPhone event, on September 12, Apple unveiled three new iPhones: the iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus, and the iPhone X. While the iPhone X is the new high-end flagship device, the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus both feature some major improvements.

The new futuristic looking iPhone 8 series will be released for sale shortly. But we have managed to get a sneak preview of the features of the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8S.
The new iPhone 8

Like the iPhone X, the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus feature an all-glass design, with new aluminium-framed glass bodies available in Space Grey, Gold, and Silver. Apple uses a seven-layer colour process for “precise” hue and opacity, and the devices are constructed from the most durable glass ever used in a smartphone.

Aside from the glass design, the two new devices are otherwise nearly identical to the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, available in 4.7 (iPhone 8) and 5.5-inch (iPhone 8 Plus) size options with Touch ID and standard bezels. Both the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus are IP67 water and dust resistant, and the speakers in the device are 25 percent louder with deeper bass.

New Retina HD displays have been added, with support for True Tone to match the colour of the display to the ambient lighting for a more natural paper-like viewing experience. The display is the same brightness as the display in the iPhone 7 and continues to offer cinema-standard wide colour gamut.

In the new iPhone from Apple, there is a new A11 Bionic chip features a six-core CPU design with two performance cores that are 25 percent faster and four efficiency cores that are 70 percent faster than the A10 Fusion chip in previous-generation devices.

Apple is introducing a new second-generation performance controller that’s able to harness all six of the cores at the same time, for 70 percent better performance for multi-threaded workloads. The A11 Bionic also includes a three-core GPU that’s up to 30 percent faster than the previous-generation GPU.

There’s an improved 12-megapixel rear camera in the iPhone 8, with a dual-camera setup again available in the iPhone 8 Plus.

The very latest quad LED, with True-Tone Flash with Slow Sync provides more uniformly lit backgrounds and foregrounds when using the flash.

When it comes to video, this camera can capture 4K video up to 60fps and 1080p slow motion settings up to 240fps. The latest video encoder provides real-time image and motion analysis giving superior quality video.

On the iPhone 8 Plus, there’s a fantastic Portrait Lightning feature available which will give glamorous Portrait Mode, which is designed to allow iPhone users to add studio lighting effects to Portrait photos.

Both iPhone 8 and the 8 Plus have been designed with augmented reality experiences in mind. Each camera features individual calibration with new gyroscopes and accelerometers for more accurate motion tracking.

With their glass bodies, the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus support Qi-based inductive wireless charging and can charge using a range of Qi-supported charging mats.

The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus are available in 64 and 256GB capacities, with pricing starting at $699 for the iPhone 8 and $799 for the larger iPhone 8 Plus.

Many Travelers Love Gadgets To Help Then On Their Way

Essential Gadgets for Travelers

Every year more gadgets appear on the market and it can be hard to know what to buy since there is so much to choose from. If you are traveling though, you will want gadgets that are not only useful but also light enough to be portable and items which you can use anywhere, either with its own power source or one with suitable attachments.    So choosing the right gadgets to take with you is an important decision and something you should spend a little time thinking about before you set off.

If you have an upcoming long distance journey or a stopover in another country, you will find time passes quicker and you are happier if you are wired into the world instead of out of contact. You can also get some work done while you are on the move instead of wasting time staring out of the window. But what are the best new gadgets for travel and how are you going to take it all with you?

You should choose items considering not only their function but also their size and weight. Less is more in this case, so choose the lightest and smallest items you can use. There has also been a rise in technology with can be worn ie wearable technology which is designed for easy use for people on the go and varies from cameras to watches and personal computers.

The Best Computer for Travelers

A computer is something you would probably like to have with you, and a laptop is perhaps the first gadget to come to mind, but do you want to carry a bulky laptop around when a tablet is thinner, lighter and just as powerful, at least for most tasks? There is a lot of difference between a bulky 6-pound laptop and a slim 8-ounce tablet. If you want to get some typing done and you do not get along with the touchscreen a tablet offers, consider a fold-out keyboard for your tablet. Just checkout that latest Amazon Fire Tablet with up to twelve hours of battery life.

You can get cases which hold both the tablet and a keyboard, thus giving you the functionality of a laptop but without the bulk or weight. Actually some modern tablets are more powerful than some laptops and you can also get a lot of the same software options.

What about Entertainment?

Although your laptop or tablet is certainly adequate if you wish to listen to music or watch a movie, what about multitasking, when you are working (or playing games) on the laptop or tablet, but you still want music? The answer is an MP3 player which also doubles up as photo storage. An iPod is the king of MP3 players but you can also consider other brands if you want to save money. Or else grab yourself an iPod Touch and you will be able to browse the internet, listen to music, watch videos (albeit on a rather small screen) and send emails too, all on the same little device.

Cameras and Accessories

Most travelers will want a decent camera with them when they travel, especially if they are traveling for pleasure and not just making a brief business trip. Your iPod or phone might be fine for the occasional snap to upload to Facebook, but if you are into photography you may want to consider the alternatives.

When you are at home and you head out for the day, you might take your 35mm SLR and 3 spare lenses, but is your trip away really going to justify all that bulk and weight? so unless you are actually going on a photographic expedition, you might be better off with one of the new, smaller and much lighter compact digital cameras on the market. A lot of the latest ones boast 6 megapixels or more, meaning you can take great images with a camera small enough to easily slip into your pocket.

Don’t Forget About Insurance

Obviously and maybe not so exciting as the thought of all those cool gadgets you could possibly consider, but it is very important to consider insurance. Even if you do not get robbed, gadgets can break or get knocked about a bit when you are traveling, so ensure you have enough cover in place just in case anything does get lost, stolen or damaged, you can get it replaced easy enough.

Quadcopters and Camera Drones – But Are They Legal?

These little gadgets have recently begun to take the world by storm and now everyone wants their own – the grownups as much as the kids! A remote-control helicopter is surprisingly easy to fly but a quad copter is even easier because it runs on batteries so you will not have to deal with engine malfunction or know anything about how engines work. There are no complicated moving parts to tinker with. You can simply charge the batteries and get it flying.

These battery-operated ones are also very quiet so whether you want to fly it around the neighborhood without annoying your neighbors or scare the cat, you can expect near-silence. Batteries are safe to use too; you do not have to deal with gas, flammables or any type of engine. The appeal of these little gadgets lies largely in their ease of use. Even a child can master one in next to no time.

Although kids and also adults might get one of these as a toy or hobby, they are useful for a wider spectrum of society. Keen photographers can have plenty of fun flying a camera drone, snapping shots or recording video of their neighborhood and getting a bird’s eye view.

A drone with 4 propellers, known as a quadcopter, provides a new challenge to hobbyists, because they require more skill than the more basic helicopters. Actually a lot of the newest models on the market are quadcopters because of their relative mechanical simplicity when you compare them to the more stable helicopter design. It is still a good idea to begin with a basic model though and work your way up to a quadcopter because flying one of those does take practice.

Are There Rules Against Drones?

As these gadgets become more popular, there are more rules and restrictions coming about involving their flight. The FAA bans you from flying too close to manned aircraft, for example, and I am sure you can understand why. The drone must be kept in sight and you are not allowed to charge people for flying your drone.

You must keep the machine under 500 feet, because any higher and you risk sharing airspace with manned aircraft. Drones are also banned from all national parks in the United States. Despite these rules though, there are lots of places to fly your helicopter, quadcopter or drone. Practice in your backyard then head to the nearest local park or open area. (After Checking the RULES first) Perhaps you will then meet other flying enthusiasts there and you can swap your best tips.

How to Choose the Best One

Because there are plenty of different RC aircraft on the market, it pays to know a bit about how to choose the best one. First of all, bear in mind most of them have a battery life of 10 to 12 minutes, or even less. Now that is sufficient time for a short flight but you might want a longer time, in which case get a drone which takes a removable battery, then just ensure you have plenty of fully-charged ones with you. Spend more on a drone and the battery should provide around 25 minutes of flight time. The best ones will automatically fly the drones right back to you when the battery is getting critically low.

A lot of drones (although not all) feature a camera, either built-in or attachable. Some work with a GoPro camera which you need to buy separately and others come with their own. The higher-end models will have image stabilization for more professional footage.

Some will record straight to an SD card which you can then pop into your PC and upload. If you want to watch the footage in real time, some drones are able to transmit live to your iPhone or Android device. If you do this for the whole flight, it will drain your battery pretty quick, but it is still a nice feature to have. Work out your budget and which features are deal-breakers for you, then you will be able to choose the perfect helicopter, quadcopter or camera drone to have lots of fun with.
